What are the admission officers doing now?

can u say which school…i want exeter sooooooooooooooooo bad

Very good sign Blue. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks Benely! I knew it was good sign but it’s nice to get a 2nd opinion. Thanks for all the support, I don’t know what I’d do without CC! I’d rather not say right this second candidate but it wasn’t Exeter.

The admissions officers are probably sitting around a big table debating over some controversial applicant…one of you guys, maybe? :D

Yeah they’re throwing applications on the floor…:(

H sent me an email saying that they can’t review my application since i haven’t done my interview… They said that i have to do an interview after april 19 and that makes it a late application. It is actually impossible for me to wait that long because i have to make other decisions like visa and such. But on the first page i read that someone’s daughter got a call on March 5 and did the interview on March 6. Is H trying to lay me off their school??

Do they have rolling admissions ( I dont know what school you mean)? I would guess different schools are going to have different policies. If you are looking for FA, I would ask them very politely if it is at all possible that you come tomorrow or sooner for interview. If not looking for FA and, if you are an all round top applicant to a school with average stats beneath yours, then you may be fine.

@urbanflop: me, maybe. I (stupidly) mentioned that i dozed at classes n daydreamed a lot during boring subjects. And the interviewer wrote it down. Those mini info can be taken into account very seriously, i supposed

Some schools are still doing phone interviews, my daughter had one yesterday. It was not a Hades school, but still a very good school. I have to say that I was very suprised that they were still doing this at such a late date.

I called H today and they said i have to talk to the dean… But the dean wasn’t answering the phone.

I think they are suffering from eye strain from all that reading!

lol. i dont know how they do it. i wouldnt be able to be an admissions officer

For the admissions officers at prep schools, it isn’t difficult relative to the ones at Harvard that have too read about 20,000 applications. I couldn’t even imagine reading 20,000 applications, let alone a 20,000 page book.

Oh wow, my summer reading list for next year if I go to my public high school includes a 900 page book. eeeeeeep. those admission officers are godly.

I’ve read a 1600 page book and probably longer but I cant remmber but 20,000 pages. WOW

wow blue, what book was that? the longest book i can remember reading was…i forgot, rpobably fire-bringer or something.

I knew Eragon was Brom’s son but nobody would believe me!!! I totally rubbed it in everyones face afterwards

ok…but legit does anyone know what exeter admssion officers do…i want to go to exeter so bad…u all probs know this by now, but by now our fate has been decided for us by admission officers…: 0<ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

oh, i didn’t like eragon. read the first book when it came out and thought it was okayish. D:

and THANKS CANDID! you just brought my paranoia back tenfold! haha jk. but yeah, we have no idea. i just know they made the decisions in this room with a harkness table and latin on the ceiling, cuz i was interviewed in that room. funfunfun :D

I liked Eragon a lot but the movie was horrible!

This is really off topic but am I the only one who dislikes miley Cyrus. She’s announcing on the oscars right now. She really annoys me.
