What are the admission officers doing now?

Do you think the admission officers still reading files and vote for decisions now? Maybe they finish up all the votings on March 7th, 8th-ish? What else can the admission officers be doing?

I would guess decisions must be made. With all the applicants, it takes a while to compile the letters/packages, etc. Plus, they have to give time for the FA people to do their work.
Just my guess though, I have no real inside info.

lol…jyun

jyun212. are you speechless?

I’m not speechless I’m not Kim u dummy. It’s funny how unleashing my
supposed name on the internet makes u seem cool.

Someone posted this a few days ago, so check it out because it’s quite interesting and sheds a good deal of light on just how much work the admissions folks have to do …

having a huge slumber party in the office to celebrate

Last year March 10 was on a Tuesday. My d received a call to schedule an interview on Thursday, March 5 and had an interview on Friday, March 6 with Hotchkiss. At some schools they may still be making decisions.

Looking at CC and laughing at us :p

Kidding.

Finalising who is getting in w/FA and determining WL i would think.

interesting avid2000

haha blueraven, what if they actually did! haha!

Big bonfires.

They’re doing their “yield management” calculations about now I’d say. With many kids applying to 5-10 schools it’s got to be increasingly tricky to know which kids will actually say “yes”

i think a saw somewhere they do their admissions meetings till the end of feb. now is probaly last minute stuff.

roasting hot weenies over a fire.

I hate yield management. I hope son doesn’t become a victim.

Of course, I understand fully why they have to consider all that. They can’t over enrolled and they can’t overspend their FA budgets.

I imagine that this is also the time there is a lot of give and take between the admissions and the FA office, determining who they want the most relative to the dollars they have available.

I just (as in last hour) had a school call me to clarify FA details. I know it’s a decent sign but how good of one?

That’s great Blue! How much do you need again?

About half FA
Ironically next year I’ll probably be FP
