What are the benefits of going to a top 25 school or ivy?

I heard the quality of education is pretty much the same as any other school just the diploma is different. So what are the long or short term benefits of going to an ivy league school? Lets say two people with the same gpa apply to law school with similar lsats...

one went to princeton and one went to UCLA... is there much of a difference? Do ivy league schools help their students graduate and go onto law school, preferablly a top 20 one?

I'm stuck between applying early to Columbia or Princeton... What are the academic benefits of going to both? Are they pretty much the same educational experince? Because with that said, i'd rather go to Columbia for the city and nightlife...

don't get stuck on Princeton with a 9 % admit rate the adds are overwhelmingly against you getting admitted. Toss your app in and forget about it. If admitted consider itr gravy.

Law school is a whole different ball of wax where major emphasis is on GPA and LSAT. Even then Yale Law school :

Yale 439 people applied with GPAs of 3.75+ and 182 were admitted
41.5% admitted over a 3 year period.

With the capping of A's at Princeton, it will be harder to graduate with a 4.0 and going through Columbia won't be a cake walk either.
