<p>I need to apply for housing at University of Alabama, but I was wondering if anyone knows which dorms are the best, or if they are all equally good.</p>
<p>There are no designated Freshman dorms - everyone can be mixed in together on campus (except some apartments). If your budget allows, the suite style dorms, with individual rooms, are super and can’t be beat. Also, your choice of dorm might depend on whether you are in the honors college or not, whether you plan to rush/pledge, and so forth. For example, Honors students can live in non-honors housing, but not vice versa. Some students choose a particular dorm based solely on its location close to where they want to be on campus. </p>
<p>UA is a beautiful campus and your visit to it might allow you to see a variety of living situations. The model dorms they show you are in Ridgecrest South. I don’t think there are any bad housing choices at UA.</p>
