Something doesn’t sound right.
You would have been actively recruited by the schools if you were able to do those times. Now you say it was 2 years ago. Not happening. Our student track members were actively recruited with less skills.
You’re on a GAP year?
Financial aid for an international student, at top schools, with mediocre SATs, means that you need to target mid tier schools that give aid.
That won’t be the top schools. Also, with your academics, you would struggle to keep up with the top schools’ students.
Based upon the age of the original poster, I was thinking more along the lines of Bart Allen.
@Burgermeister
Unfortunately, my recent school does not have a decent coach in my chosen sports. They are just more of a babysitter than a coach. The only “decent” one that I have is when I was playing collegiate-level volleyball for almost 6 months. But since he is not really a coach from my school [and he is busy with his boys], I do not want to trouble him.

I already have more than enough answers and help from @LaxPrep [through the messages] that satisfied my query(-ies).
@smullaney
I don’t remember mentioning that I did run for fun. And I don’t do any school-relate activities just for fun. The last school I attended don’t pay attention about world records and such. I do not see the need to convince anyone. Something that is [almost] impossible is always impossible for most - maybe even around 99%+.
I reread what I posted (as well as my replies), but I didn’t seem to find where I said I did not train for it. Can you cite/quote where and when did I say that? I might have missed it.
@“aunt bea”
Yes. I have been recruited and being recruited by colleges and universities (world ranked and selective non-US institutions [since I currently do athletics outside the country starting around 3 years ago]). I also took their regular college admissions tests and I was still given admissions to all of them, in their quota courses/programs and in the 89th%-ile at least. (I did not accept the admissions because I want to take it one step at a time. Yes, I may be wasting opportunities, but this is how it should be)
I am aware that my current SSAT scores are mediocre, way sub par. I will be retaking the test.
How did you know that I would struggle given my “academics”? Is it because of my SSAT score, my 10th grade grades, or maybe both? I won’t be so sure. I am hoping you are aware that you do not know me. As the title of one of the articles published in The Phillipian (under Commentary) last October 15th says, “Be Constructive, Not Critical.”
Enough said.
