Well, Harvard and MIT are across the river and I doubt if Boston weather would dissuade anyone from attending there.

Well…one of our kids is a BU grad, and he wouldn’t say any of those cons…were cons. He says there were plenty of places to study where it was quiet.

And weather? Well…it’s New England, after all.

Another pro that isn’t listed is the huge amount of apartments in close proximity to the campus for those who decide to live off campus.

And speaking of the campus…the city of Boston IS the campus…and that was a main draw for my kid.

For these chatGPT threads…it’s important to remember that ChatGPT was trained with data only thru 2021…so will not have any newer information than that. It does not have access to the web. Lastly, we do know it makes up facts sometimes, so it does make sense to fact check!

My daughter is a grad student who lives in Allston, she loves studying at the Boston library (and of course living there, especially when the weather is nice).

I’d add the Beach as a Pro. But in general the outdoor green space is pretty scarce.

Some people dislike the fact that the campus is wedged between Comm. Ave. and the Mass Pike. Others don’t mind that at all.

My daughter graduated from BU, she loved it, but hated the grade deflation!

In general I would say that these minuses are general and relative, there is actually good, especially as a student you certainly do not have very high preferences, I think that the university should be chosen by how there studies go but not by the size of the campus or other things related to aesthetics.
