*shower flipflops are a necessity... in the guys bathroom someone jerked off in the shower and didn't rinse it off the wall.. eww.. I don't trust my bare feet on the shower floor." my dorm showers are exactly like this. our building is kinda old so the faucets in the sink are rusty and ugly, but thats my main problem (i have issues with dirty-looking sinks).

Maybe its just me, but I never wore sandals in the shower. I did at first, but I hated the fact that they were wet and sqeaky most of the time. So I quit wearing them in the shower stall. And my toes DIDN'T fall off. Nothing happened.

Sure, guys jack off, pee in the shower, and wash their nether regions otherwise, but the water immediately washes it down the drain. And the cleaning staff cleans the bathroom every day (usually).

People don't usually wear sandals in gym showers where there's more risk of exposure to bacteria in the locker room floor than in the shower stall, so why should one wear them in a dorm shower.

feenotype...i guess its just a precaution. no one wants to be the person who contracts a fungus from the shower....so the sandals i guess are just to protect from anything that could possibly be there

Water pressure is deadly if you turn it up all the way. Stall with a curtain. It's like two airplane bathrooms separated by a curtain. I can change in there by being very careful and systematic. One thing at a time, and make sure never to touch my feet to the floor. Most people only put on their underclothes and then come out. I think girls like to flaunt. Unfortunately, they're not very pretty.

Haha, it's not really that hard to kill the AIDS virus so long as it's not yet in the body. The virus isn't very hardy in open air or on surfaces.

But Lysol is still good stuff. We use the professional grade stuff to kill E. coli and yeast in our biology lab.

Our showers aren't very nice/clean/etc. They're in a big bathroom that used to be a girl's bathroom. One wall has the toilets (with two doors?!?), and another wall has three showers, each with a curtain and a hook. No "changing area." The other two walls have sinks.

We're petitioning for a radio in each shower. :)

Two stalls with curtains, and semi-partitioned changing area. One hook between the two stalls. I take a towel and a bathrobe, and when I'm done I dry off, then put on my robe and go back to my room to change.
