Basically I want to know what are the most awesome forums out there for any specific topics or interest, for me personally I'd like to know political, physics, rubiks, chemistry and math forums.

So far I have

Art of Problem Solving -- math and some physics, but really beats math to any other forum, has smartest kids and is prep site for olympiad, I admit it's not ideal for say calculus discussions so still am looking around

@MIT, HSL is starting to get boring, since so many threads are literally spam threads with with titles like “say most random thing” and such, and I wouldn’t mind if they would actually split up the HSL forum, for now it has too much garbage mixed along with gems, on the hand, the Prep schools forums have too many different sections despite not being used as much.

I find it unfair that quality postings on HSL won’t get any post counts, :P

www.xkcd.com their forums. I’ve only posted a few times because I don’t feel qualified to speak there…

^
ummm… i’ve been on there before (i’m a member) and some of the guys were jerks. Well i’m talking about the teen misc, but yah I hated it there and quit. Female misc was nice and I had a trainer on there but everyone else was mean. But how is that place a nerdy place?

The Random Thoughts thread is brilliant… Don’t hate on it, I think it actually takes makes the board more on-topic as well because it acts as a vortex of off-topic material.

True. AoPS is unbeatable. The kids’ posts go all the way over my heads. But I think CC has more personality despite the difference in intelligence. ;)
