What are your safety schools?

What are your backup schools (safety schools)?
You can list all, or you can list your second choice (for some already determined)

For me, my hopeful second choice is Columbia RD (anyone Harvard? as a second?).
Backups are University of California: different branches (some guaranteed)
Last resorts are ccs, not this CC, but, yeah.

I just want to know where your cushions lay come Dec. 15th. Of course, we can still be hopeful for Yale RD even if we fall, right?

Share your plans!

If someone already posted a similar thread like this,

Ignore Me

or redirect me to that thread. I don't think I've seen one though... not too sure.

mine is columbia, also!

backups include: university of tennessee and vanderbilt

U Chicago, Smith, College of the Atlantic.

...my college choices are suddenly seeming totally random. :o

Columbia here too! with UF as a backup =]

uhhh...Priceton, columbia, brown, Amherst, and Wash U....(of course not!)

just kidding, im not that much of an ass. I dont just blindly apply to first tier schools. They're mostly non-first tier schools and certainly not ivies.
Altho Wash U is basically in my backyard , so i guess that school kinda is.

I already got into UMich so... I'll be going to college :)

University of Chicago.

Rutgers NB.

ummm....Macalester, BU, and U of Notre Dame?

My second choice is ALSO Columbia! Uh oh. XD

Safeties are... Oberlin, Macalester, Wesleyan (well, Wesleyan is a "match").

My second choice is Cornell, and my only safety school is SUNY Binghamton.

See? This is great (for me at least)
Now I know that my safeties are not that competitve among CCers, save for Columbia.
Needless to ask what major, as good school have almost everything!

Keep going! I like this thread.

If I don't get in SCEA I'll apply to ~five other Ivy Leagues because they all consider Canadians to be domestic when applying for financial aid. There are more schools I'd like to consider in the states, but they're not quite as generous.

If none of them pan out, I'd still love going to McGill or the University of British Columbia. It's kind of hard to beat Montreal culture or Vancouver weather.

University of California: Irvine- I'm guaranteed admissions under the California ELC program.

I also have a very, very good shot at UCSD, UCLA, and Cal with my stats.

If I get deferred or rejected by Yale, definitely I will apply to Umass Amherst, I have already applied to Brandeis too which is sort of a low-middle choice for me.

davidbonko, Columbia is your SAFETY school??? I wish I could feel that way....

Duke anyone? Georgetown?

haha, everyone posts Columbia as a safety. only on CC.

jk i know it's your "second choice," not safety.

uhh i don't really have just one second choice. there are lots of schools i really like a lot, including Brown, UNC-CH, Wesleyan, and Rice. But these are all reaches or high matches. I do have safeties too, but no one's heard of them most of the time lol.

I kind of like it this way, and I'm reluctant to let myself pick a favorite. I'll just apply and see where I get in. It's more chill than stressing over getting into certain schools. well i mean i still do that, but you know. lol

pennstate=safety=>accepted=>going to college!
