what banks are near/on grounds

<p>Im comming in the fall and just wanted to know what banks are on grounds ar atleast near grounds.</p>

<p>Also, does sprint service work well there, if not what phone sevice does?</p>

<p>I was there last month and noticed a Bank of America, Suntrust and Wachovia in the area. I’m not sure about on campus, maybe a current student could fill in that detail. As far as cell service, we use AT&T and I had no problems while I was there. Again, maybe someone can give you more details. Also, there is a stickied thread with information for first years, you can probably find out all you need on there. BTW, congratulations, I hope you have a great four years!</p>

<p>Hint: There is a bank on Grounds and there are ATMs for more than one bank on Grounds. :)</p>

<p>Dean J, I understood what the students were trying to say, but the op is a new member and might not know his/her way around the board yet, so I thought I would try to help. When I first searched this board, I only got posts from the past 30 days until by a happy accident I found the spot to change it.</p>

<p>Bank of America bank in the ground floor of Newcomb (with ATM at its entrance).
Bank of America ATM at the UVA bookstore entrance and at the side of the stairs at O-Hill dining hall.
So as far as I know, there are 3 Bank of America ATMs on grounds and 1 Bank of America bank.
My cell phone service is from AT&T, and I haven’t had many problems with it.
Also, there is a Bank of America branch at Barracks shopping center and close to the church near Alderman library.</p>

<p>I didn’t like AT&T that much… whenever I was in Newcomb I would get no reception at all.</p>

It might seem foreign to adults, the platform on which this board is built (it might be vBulletin or phpBB) is common and most people our students’ ages should be either familiar with it already or find it easy to navigate.</p>

  1. go to google.com
  2. type in:
  1. press “search”
  2. revel in search results
    note: site:whatever works for other sites too, like virginia.edu or ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ or whatever other sites you want to search</p>

<p>Bank of America is best. I have had sprint for two years on grounds and its among the best there. BoA has a couple ATMs on grounds and there is a branch on grounds as well as on the corner</p>
