Turned down Harvard for Cambridge (UK)

BOOYAKASHA!! UK ALL DA WAY.

Right, I was just kidding. I'm still a sophomore (man I've really got better things to do than post useless comments on threads that don't concern me).

Hooray for me saving 35000 a year

I'm in Houston right now. It's not bad; you just can't complain until you've lived here for +5 years. I have free reign to complain about the humid weather and, one thing you forgot to mention, sucky drivers and bad traffic. This leads to an epic case of citywide road rage. Thank goodness I live in Austin or I'd have really high blood pressure. That and Shipley's. Mmmm.

Anywho, I turned down Hopkins Engineering for Cornell Engineering. Is that really that huge of a tradeoff though? I don't know; some say yes, others say no.

Oh and if you're looking at anything involving medicine, Rice is a doozy. Largest medical center in the WORLD. Ring a bell much? So many opportunities available, and I hear that the Medical Center loves Rice students. Why I didn't think of that earlier evades me. Ithaca, home of the world's smallest medical center. JK!

I turned down UChicago (usnwr #9 NU) and Pomona (usnwr #7 LAC) for Dartmouth.

I know someone who turned down Northwestern for Rutgers.

I turned down: University of Pennsylvania, Duke, and Johns Hopkins for Emory because they offered a full ride.

I turned down Boston U for Fordham (lost 8,000 scholarship money, though)

I turned down USC for Whitman. USC took FOREVER to mail me my acceptance package, so I had to call. I told them on the phone I wouldn't be attending.

I also got a full ride to UW-Seattle. But Whitman gave me amazing financial aid, and I felt wanted by them.

Turned down U. Richmond, U. Delaware and Pepperdine for Rollins. They gave me incredibly generous scholarship awards, and when I visited I just loved it.
