We have to choose a classic and write a 10-page paper about it by early May. I wanted to read Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, but its already taken by someone else X( Any suggestions?
Anne of Green Gables and Little Women are some of my favorites, but I’m not sure if they would be considered at too low of a reading level. Jules Verne’s books are also great (my personal favorite is Journey to the Center of the Earth), as well as H.G. Wells’s. I also love Mark Twain.
My personal recommendation is Moby Dick. It is by far my favorite book of all time, classical or not.
edit: my computer glitched Sorry for the repeat post.
Heart of Darkness or Brave New World
Both very powerful books that will really have an impact on you.
I read The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien over the summer for AP Lit, great book in my opinion.
