What Book/TV Show/Movie...etc... Would You Rather Live In?

Gilmore Girls all the way.

Ah. Gilmore Girls. The land of rapidly talking brunettes.

Harry Potter (only if I were a wizard, of course)

or life as an elf in the Lord of the Rings

or maybe Ender’s game

or possibly Iron Man

Dude, Ender’s game would be such a depressing book to be in. Being taken away to a military facility when you’re just 6 years old, being worked to the bone, deceived, and when it’s all over, you have nothing left. That would be so horrible

^ If we could be tourists and just hang out in the Battle Room for a couple of days, I wouldn’t mind.

Harry Potter, definitely. As a Slytherin, though. All that non-stop magical drama…I’d never be bored.

Actually, it might be cool to live in Gossip Girl. Money and nice things and everything important taken care of…I wouldn’t want to be one of the major characters though.

iRobot minus the Chaotic robots, just normal robots.

TV shows: 30 Rock, Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist.
Books: Eragon
Movies: Mr. Deeds, Happy Gilmore

Eragon - a bastardization of Star Wars and Tolkien with a helping Paolini’s horny teenage imagination
I’m sorry, I just hate Eragon.

Dude, being an Eragon character would suck.
Even if you were an elf. You’d just sit in trees, write stupid poems, and eat plants all day.

Harry Potter - I would so give up Yale and Princeton to go to Hogwarts. ____

LOL yeah, Eragon would suck. I didn’t really like it. It was basically Star Wars set in some medieval setting with different character names. Paolini basically stole a bunch of ideas from every other fantasy author, merged them into his “original” masterpiece, and got credit for everyone else’s imaginations. But I guess just writing a novel by itself is impressive, and for that, I give the boy props.

And if you were in Eragon, unless you were an elf, you would basically be powerless to do anything. If you happened to be lucky enough to have a dragon, a bunch of a-holes would come burn your house down and kill your family. And not to mention no matter which character you are, there is someone who will find you and beat your ass

South Park!!

maybe in House MD as a princeton plainsboro fellowship applicant working with house

or being house :P

lol this thread reminds me of the article describing how several people were suicidal after watching Avatar because they’ll never be able to “enjoy the beauty of the alien world Pandora.”

Wow, it’s not that bad. There’s definitely an RPG-type component missing from those other stories.

Warning: Eragon rant.

Brisingr made me want to PUKE. Paolini’s descriptions of Arya are probably manifestations of his late-night fantasies. :\ RURRR.

Those of you who want to be in LOTR need to remember that you’d probably end up as one of the mooks that get flattened by giant siege engine missiles. Though it wouldn’t be so bad to be that one Gondor soldier who does the reaction shots. He seems to be on the front line of everything but he always escapes :P

Harry Potter world

or if I was Spider-Man

or if I was Richie Rich

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland — the book, not the film that Disney continues to shat all over.

“or being house :P”
but…house is miserable :</p>

“lol this thread reminds me of the article describing how several people were suicidal after watching Avatar because they’ll never be able to “enjoy the beauty of the alien world Pandora.””
HAHA, oh god, i can actually picture that.
