Any suggestions?

Math IIC?

1) Barrons and
2) Princeton Review

Yeah I meant Math, sorry~ >_<

haha it's okay. I kind of figured because I don't think there's another SAT II that ends with IIC =)

so can you tell me more about those books? Thanks

Barron's is incredibly dense and extremely difficult. If you can drudge your way through the absolutely torturous intellectual violation that that book forces you to endure, then you'll get very close to, if not , an 800.

Yeah, I'd say Barron's too. Don't only take their practice tests though, try supplementing them with Sparknotes tests (one free with every new account, accounts are free) which are closer to the real thing...

I used Barron's to review everything. It wasn't too bad because I read through one section each night at dinner and I highlighted the stuff I didn't know. Barron's is intimidating if you try to tackle all of it, but it's really not that bad if you look at it in smaller sections. The tests are really hard, but it overprepares you. I would get 770-780 on the Barron's tests and 800 on the Princeton Review tests. I only used the Princeton Review book for it's practice tests.

oh yeah. I guess it would help you to know my score =) I got an 800 (first try)

Has anyone bought and read over the new 2008 Barron's MathIIC prep book? Is it different/better/worse than the older version?

Thanks guys, I guess I'll go for Barron.

Any answers to my questions?

The practice tests are generally recyled in newer versions, so I wouldn't think that there's anything too new...

Yeah. Get the older version, it's just as good.

llpitch:

well, my library had the barrons sat2 math IC book from like 2000, which was super hard and super boring. they just got the 2008 barrons IC book, which is a lot more laid back and a lot easier. I don't know if this will be the same situation for math IIC, but I just wanted to let you know that the material/diction does change a bit over time.
