I’ve been casually doing act practice tests for a while. I am trying to get above a 30 but it seems like I have been stuck at 29. This is my time to beat it. The last week I have been taking a practice subject test a day. I am not doing that great. I am doing worse than what I did on my previous ACT sections. What can I do in the little time I have left to prepare?
First, getting a 29 is nothing to be ashamed of! It is a great score.
The most important thing you can do is analyze your mistakes and learn from them.
When you review each section write down if the error is: 1. careless or 2. truly something you do not know.
For example, if your errors in English are all comma related, then you must memorize your comma rules.
If you are making careless errors (bubbling in the wrong answer, tiny mistakes in math, not reading and answering the question ACT is asking) consider slowing down. It is often, but not always, these types of errors that prevent students from reaching their target score.
If you post more specific information, I may be able to help you with specific advice. Or you can PM me.
Thanks! I think most of mistakes are from me missing part of the passage or the question(at least on the math, english, and science) I usually do them at night. Maybe if i did them earlier I would see better results.
You may, it is easy to make careless mistakes when you are tired.
