What can I do between Junior Year and Senior Year?

What can I do between Junior Year and Senior Year besides application essays that can help strengthen my application. I'm currently going to a program in August, but I have nothing to do for the rest of June and July. I sent over 60 emails regarding research over the last 3 weeks (late, I know), but I got nothing.

So, essentially, where else can I look to?

I plan on doing other stuff on my own time such as volunteering, but should I find something concrete like a job or should I try to do research on my own?

Is it possible to do research on my own? Where can I publish it?

Thanks to all that answers. I really appreciate it.

What type of research are you talking about? Science, or something else?

I was thinking of economics or product design @awakeningvenus‌

Enjoy the summer!

That’s every person’s dream yet in order to have a bright future, I feel that something needs to be accomplished.

Everyone is ahead of me in life and I feel left behind.

I don’t know… maybe I should sit back and relax, but I don’t want to have regrets when I’m older.

Do you know what I’m trying to say?

I feel like whatever you do this summer won’t have a huge impact on your application unless it was something seriously mind-blowing, so you might as well just enjoy the summer and start on your college apps.

We’re 17, Hawkace; no one our age ahead of us or behind us really. Don’t overthink it.

Regrets happen no matter what. @CE527M‌

Somewhere along the line, I’m going to wish that I did something this summer, but I guess that the general consensus is college apps.
