What can I do to improve my chances??????

I want to go to Northwestern at the moment, and I plan on applying ED there. I'm currently a junior. Of course it is my dream school, and I have a bunch of other safeties lined up, but I kinda want to see where you guys think I'm at and what I need to change.
My stats:
4.62 W GPA, 4.09 UW (Number 2 in class)
SAT: 2240
ACT: 33
SAT Subject Tests: 750 Bio E, 720 Math 2
My course load is the most rigorous my schedule could allow, and my senior year looks something like this, though I might change it a bit:
AP Physics
AP Lit
AP Psych
AP Stat
Anatomy
AP Spanish
Modern World History
I've taken AP Chem and AP Bio already, and I plan on focusing on science in the future, though that could also change.
As far as extracurriculars go, I'm pretty weak.
Spanish Honor Society
Science Honor Society
History Honor Society
English Honor Society
Mu Alpha Theta or whatever its called
NHS
Varsity Tennis Team (1x Captain, possibly 2 if I really push the coach for it)
INTEL ISEF Participant (1x, won 1st runner up best of fair at regional, have done science fair since 8th grade)
400+ community service hours, volunteering at places im passionate about like a local school for underprivileged kids, i've grown really close to them.
Participated in Math team and MUN, didnt really do much in this though.
Will do summer abroad program to Spain this summer to become close to fluent in spanish.

I think that is the bulk of it.

I have two good teachers lined up for some pretty stellar letters of recommendation, and a great one from my guidance counselor, and I should be able to pull out some good essays.

So how's it looking for me, guys? What should I work on in my final year to make my chances as high as they can be? Anything will be appreciated, I know your time is valuable. Thank you!

Someone in my area was just accepted ED with a 35 ACT and far weaker ECs than you. Also, your course rigor looks good. What does a 4.62/4.09 GPA translate to on a 4.0 scale? I think you have a great shot, don’t sell yourself short!

I’m honestly not sure on your GPA question. We grade based like an AP adds 1.0 or something, and I’ve taken quite a few, so that’s why my weighted is so high, but that’s as far as I know. Do you really think my ECs are good? I feel like, aside from the generic honor societies, there is nothing substantial that sets me apart.

You have a great shot at NU. My friend got in with a 3.8/4.4 and a 31 ACT so you are definitely a strong candidate. Apply for an internship, start a interesting club, etc. That will max your chances!

Thanks for the reply! When you say internship, what kind of places do you think would be good? I want something to accentuate my interest in the sciences. Thanks.

Good profile!
But just for the record, college wants to see your “role” in the activities you do.
your societies (clubs i guess?) are cool, but do you hold a position in them?
or are you just a member?
remember that it is important to only mention activities that are valuable to you.
If you mindlessly list clubs without any significance, it won’t hurt or help you.
You’ll just be like any other applicant out there.

Your scores a good, so now work on your activities, and you’ll be all set! :)

good luck :)
