I’m a international student from China mainland. My school offers no AP course and I have been self-studying APUSH. I got a 760 in Dec SAT2 USH test(not a very high score, but acceptable for me since I have never taken any USH course)</p>
Now I finished <american pageant="">, <princeton review="" apush="">and <kaplan 5="" step="" to="" apush="">.(since AMESCO&REA can’t be purchased in China mainland) And Im pretty sure that I can get 70+ (75+ if lucky enough)correct out of 80 in multiple choice section.</kaplan></princeton></american></p>
But I have NEVER written A SINGLE USH essay yet and the time is so limited. What can I do to prepare my essay in order to get a 5 in May APUSH test??? I can’t spell sooo many names and events, and I don’t have a teacher to help me with my essays. I know according to my multiple choice part, I need three 4-mark essays for a overall 5.</p>
waitin’ for advice. thank soooooo much~</p>
Adrian10 - Wow, you are a hard worker. Here is a link to AP Central. Click on any year. You will find all the DBQ and Free-response questions from 1999 - 2010. The College Board provides 3 sample essays (high, medium, and low) for each questions. Study the samples and read their commentary. This is the best source! Good luck!!!</p>

God bless you, I am very weak either…:-D</p>
And chances are adrian10, if you can get that high in your MC alone, your essays wont even have to be that strong.</p>
Oh one more thing: 62 percent = a 5. So 2/3 of 9 = 6. So if you score 6’s on your essays and correctly answer 52 multiple-choice questions you will have a 5. So a 6 = 5 on the essays. The Level 8 and 9 essays are very impressive. However, the 6s not so much. You can do it!!!</p>
There are 100 multiple-choice questions that you can use to prepare at

If you can get 75 right, you could probably leave before the writing portion.</p>
哈哈哈…在这个论坛上打中文真好玩
it is not necessary to practice a whole bunch of dbqs. just make sure you are very familiar with various era, general date for each event.and look through the past papers in the AP central before test, then u’ll be fine. 5 is not that hard. and u got 760 in sat 2 right?
As a matter of fact,AP mcq is easier than SAT2. Just stay calm,dude.</p>
