What can one do with a ITM degree?

What can one do with a ITM degree? I switched my major over from Mechanical Engineering to Informations Technology and Management because it requires less math. I may minor in business finance too depending on how easy ITM classes go…

The target job would be a non technical leadership position in IT. It is similar to an MIS degree.

I work in IT. Most of the managers have CS degrees, and some have MBAs. The project managers might have degrees like this one. Be aware that the salary quotes you see for IT jobs may require CS degrees, since they are technical. MIS type degrees are typically considered non technical so the pay may be lower.

So, if its not obvious from above, my recommendation would be to peruse CS. It wont have as much math as ME but I believe you will find the job market more open for you.

With an ITM degree a long term goal could be to become a CTO for a medium-large size firm.

Okay I have changed my mind I am majoring in Business Finance with a minor in Information security or Cyber security foundations. Does this major and minor sound marketable ?

Information Security or Cyber Security Foundations sound marketable. I don’t really see the tie in between a Business Finance major and either of the two minors.

Any possibility of majoring in Information Security or Cyber Security Foundations and minoring in Business Finance?

So I talked with my advisor today and he said those are only for graduate students. But I was thinking I can major in Business Finance and minor in either information security, internet application development or information system network management. So many other minors I can choose from here

I want the tech side of business. I could either major in Business Finance or Information Technology and Management but I found out ITM is like a generic Computer Science degree and a lot people have not heard of the major. So I would rather minor in their program.

I guess I don’t want to be in CTO I want to either work as a CIA or in an office on the tech side of things. Not so much in software but Business to. If you think about it this world is build upon business and technology why wouldn’t the two go together ?
