I would add to the post suggested above to download their curriculum list. One thing that put UAB higher on my D’s list for next year’s auditions (aside from a wonderful experience visiting the program) is their conservatory style training that has equal emphasis on voice, acting and dancing. I would suggest this for all programs, it is very telling for what your child will do during their college career :).
Definitely, check out the thread at the link above - many of us talked about it there. It is a rising program - only 2 years old at this point, but their BA Acting is well established, and Valeria Accetta is making things happen & being creative about the networking aspect. My D was set to go there until she came off the waitlist at her dream school, but one of her very good friends is headed to Bham & she has gotten to know some of the other girls who are headed there as well as some current students and loves them all. I think it is definitely a program to watch.
