What career do you want to go into?

If anybody is interested in economics or politics of any kind, PM me. We have to talk.

I want to be a fashion journalist…Like Nelly Yuki in Women’s Wear Daily (Gossip Girl)

Or an international journalist. I want to interview Kim Jong Un.

Or a doctor. lolz.

Liberal Arts

I want a career as a software engineer. I want to work for Google or Electronic Arts.

Something in the entertainment industry. If not actress (preferably stage/musical), then a pipe dream of mine is to be a showrunner of a hit television show that has its own cult fandom on Tumblr. :stuck_out_tongue:

In all seriousness, actress or writer/director. Make fun of me all you want, left-brained inhabitants of CC. I have learned that I can’t thrive in an environment that doesn’t stimulate my creativity and give me an outlet to express myself.

TWIN! (esp the tumblr part!!) except I don’t wanna be o. stage/musical…I’m more of a film/tv :)

I’m going to become Dictator.

I’d like to become a biomedical engineer, but if that doesn’t work out, maybe a journalist (I know, there’s really nothing similar about the two…)

I’d like to go into Politics, the civil service, writing or historical research.

I’ve narrowed it down to to the following (ordered by preference): Strategy Consultant (I love travelling!!!), Tech Entrepreneur, Diplomat, International Businessman or a Venture Capitalist. So haven’t quite made my mind up but it will definitely involve business and technology; my two passions. Too much ambition, non?

I lurve engineering as well but the prospects of the career don’t compare to the ones above (I have way too many engineers in my family).

Interesting question: What would you all be doing, if you didn’t have to worry about earning money?

I would really love to be a neuroscientist or a neurologist. The thing is, to be a neurologist I have to get nearly perfect grades in college to get to med school. So most likely I’ll just be a neuroscientist. My dream is to be a MD/PhD but that’s near impossible, so yeah…

Now, if neither of those two work out, I would want to be a writer or photojournalist.

I want to be a biostatistician. My dream is to get a PhD in the field and then consult with doctors who run clinical trails.

Currently, I’m looking at either being an I/O psychologist or a private practice child psychologist. I love kids but I also would love to be a part of the business world.
Ehh its a toss up

@stuffzhappenin History reasearch. I adore it, but I know there are so few jobs except at universities and these require teaching but even these are pretty low paid. I still want to do it, but I’m looking at other stuff as well.

Exactly what UKgirl23 said! History professor is my ultimate (pipe) dream, but I’m keeping many options open and available to pursue.

A subfield (just 1 semesters worth of classes, everything else in the EE major is the same) of electrical engineering that gives a high paying job with more demand than actual graduates.

So therefore, I don’t have to go to try for a prestigious college, and even more, prestigious colleges don’t even offer this subfield. As a Science Olympian/Mathematician, I’m pretty confident that I’ll love what I’m doing :D

My dream is to be a cardiothoracic surgeon, but I’d like to have a family life so I’ll probably just be a physician (pediatric oncology or trauma). Because I love stimulating my brain and research, I may get my MD-PhD so I can do additional research along with work in a hospital.
I have many reasons for wanting to work in the medical field, among them my weird obsession with hospitals and the fact that I get an adrenaline rush every time I walk into one!

I want to get degrees in social science (thinking of law, international relations, or economics) and work for the state department or a Wall street company.

I actually have no idea? I’m interested in literature, history, international relations, economics, psychology, anthro/sociology etc though if anyone has any ideas!

I’d like to become a dancer - I know, I know - really hard career - but it’s what I’m aiming for! After that though I’d like to do something with international education/relations - possibly with the UN.
