I’ll be a pre-business economics major this coming fall quarter and am interested in possibly double majoring in psychology. What would be some good courses for me to take my first quarter at UCLA? Also, are freshmen clusters a good idea? I’ve heard mixed reviews. For me the pros seem like you can get 4 GE credits for the price of 3 and the major con is that the classes are supposedly harder? Is it worth it then?
They’ll go over all of this at orientation.
Like @alicantekid said it will be gone over in orientation. Most L&S students I know rec skipping the cluster to just take normal GEs. The cluster locks you in. A common schedule for pre biz Econ is math 31a, eng comp 3, and a ge. 3 classes are what’s suggested first quarter. Maybe add a fiat lux if you’re feeling adventurous!
