i am a freshmen and soooo confused on which classes to take i want to get into eaither UCSD OR UC davis

It would be a lot more helpful if you put what you are taking now.

and give the classes your intrested in.

well....currently i am taking:
acc english
acc bio
acc modern history
geometry
spanish 6
pe

i am thinking about taking ap bio or no but if i do i have to take chem and i dont really like chem soo i would take regular chem and ap history, ap english, chem, pe, hnrs algebra 2
PLEASE HELP: should i take ap bio 11th ??? or wait and take something else for instance another language? and jsut take hnrs chem

in my school ap bio is known as one of the hardest ap's

really?
ap bio...well my bio teacher said it should be a pretty easy one compared to the other ones

How do you know if you like chem or not if you've never taken it before??? I think you should decide whether you like history or bio more and/or which one you think you'll do better in.

Spelling.

No but seriously, stop freaking out. You're a freshman. Take what interests you next year.

I say take all the basic subjects like bio, chem, and physics and see what interests you best before freaking out about which AP.

si. Listen to your elders :-P

Do what interests you and overall.....

Quiero que tu obtengas una vida!

well....i know i want to be in pre med, and that science interest me (especialy bio) more then chem or physics
but i dont know if ap bio for 10th is really the right choice

koreanasian, your spanish is horrible because you've based it too much on english syntax.

^ aiight dude. It's supposed to be a joke :-P It's like a catch phrase. Haha.

"Tu madre!!" =]

I'd agree with your comment that AP biology might not be the best choice for a sophomore. If you're interested in pre-med, chemistry is definitely necessary so I'd try taking that at an honors level for your science. Save AP biology for your junior year and then take either AP Chemistry or Physics as a senior depending on whether or not you find chemistry to your liking next year.

As for your other courses, I'd recommend taking the courses you most want to take while at the same time being sure to fulfill any graduation requirements your school has (idk about your school, but during my freshman and sophomore years I had few choices for electives due to graduation requirements... it was either Honors or Regular of each of the five basic subjects).

Vete tu madre, no creo que sea una posibilad que me ataques. Por favor, Busque un culo. Vale? Hasta que no tengas una salchicha. Si me hubieras entendido, habria habido mucho que te diga.

Do what you want I guess, is it really that hard to choose? Ultimately, you make the decision in the end, no matter what we say.

AP Biology
AP World History
AP European History
and any other possible Honors courses that you could take.

yeah, ap euro is one of those courses that help you in ohter classes. i am taking ap euro i tenth right now. and i have used that info in ap comp. gov. and english, plus u will be able to use it in ap world.

If your goal is really UCSD or Davis(if you are 100% sure, not to change), I would focus on easier courses and maintain a high GPA and have good extracurricular activities. Though course rigor is considered, it is not as heavily considered as a high UC weighted GPA that could give you an advantage over other applicants. Furthermore, an AP class, especially several in sophomore year could become a recipe of disaster if taken the wrong way.

I would give a serious thought to where you want your objectives to be, and follow a path that won't give you too hard of a time.

thanks i really see now that hnrs chem next year would be the right choice and leave AP for junior year

I just got accepted into Davis...my sophomore year I took:

-Chemistry (just regular...I took AP junior year)
-Algebra II
-Honors World History
-Honors English
-Spanish 2
-and for electives: PE, Ceramics, and Web Page Design

I wouldn't recommend taking AP bio until you get chem out of the way. I think it's really important, especially if you're looking at math/science as a potential major. Anyway...good luck!
