There are already some clubs at school, but I want to start my own. I was thinking of doing something where we can send letters to troops, cancer patients, or anyone else that is in need of motivation and a few words of kindness. But idk how that would go about, seems very complicated to me. Any ideas on a club I could start? Thanks!

Key Club
The largest HS service organization in the world

Starting a club is nothing compared to getting stellar grades liddochris. If you never join a single club but can retrieve your GPA, then you’ll really help yourself. First things first.

I was thinking Key Club.

The brand of the club really doesn’t matter as long as you’re legitimately trying to do good deeds.

The problem with Key Club is that it is predominantly filled with people who just want to boost their college applications and leech community service hours while never actually doing anything productive. If you start one of those… Expect to get a lot of self-serving parasites.

Even more impressive would to become a Lieutenant Governor or Governor after serving your first year as President.

I was actually the Founder/President of my Rotary Interact club, and then the District Governor. We had the same problems, but probably not as bad as Key Club. Being in a leadership position will really give you a cynical perspective on life… I mean, we did good things, but outside of the officers, everyone was there to profit in the future.

The OP in another post says his/her GPA is under 3.0.

Starting clubs should not be any priority at this point. Period
