What clubs are you in?

Chess club; co-president next year
going to try and create a robotics club next year
I’m probably going to join the Jazz Band next year (it’s either math team or jazz band D: they’re both on the same day; I can’t go to both ;_; )
This year, I’m on the chess team, community service team, and the green team.

Mu Alpha Theta (President)
Mock Trial (Secretary)
Asian Club (Treasurer => Secretary => nothing :DDDD)
National Honor Society (Secretary)
Science Olympiad
Science Research
Math League
Model UN
Academic League
Foreign Language/Social Studies/English/Science Honor Societies

I hate to give a laundry list so I’m just going to talk about THEATER!!!

Cause I love it and I became stage manager my first year and then VP next along with head tech. Really it’s just the most fun.

Other things: MUN, INTERACT (love that club, so many friends, historian, I like the things we do), NHS Historian but that club sucks, Engineering President but technically it’s still such a small club, history club w/ renaissance and other activities, created a math club but I never actually talked about it on applications because it’s not much (just some tutoring and talk of doing other things). I also volunteer/work a lot at the good samaritan center in the city as a “MODELO” which is supposed to be for mentoring kids but really it’s more like babysitting and just playing basketball with 12 year olds. And I’ve had some jobs over the time and mentioned them on applications.

But really, I’d spend so much time at drama after school, just rehearsing or getting the sh1t together and it’s so much fun, I really love watching plays and learning about them and I think before I considered engineering I wanted to go into production.

Why is no one in American Red Cross? :[

^they don’t have that at school

Being a trainer for the sports team is the most medical-related thing because our trainers actually understand muscles and how to treat injuries and usually they’re wrapping the guys ankles and all that.

Both seasons of varsity Track
FBLA
Sci. Olympiad
NHS
Mu Alpha Theta

National, Math, Spanish (President), and Science Honor Societies plus Key Club and Ecology Club.

Hey, what is MUN?

^Model UN :P

Model United Nations.
It’s a club where we get to play countries and “Diplomatically” debate.

Hm, never heard of that. We don’t have it in our school.

Environmental Club, Literary Magazine, Newspaper

I was on the JV volleyball team, and will be on varsity next year. I also served as part of the literary magazine staff in my sophomore and junior years, and am seriously considering starting a literary magazine at my next school (it doesn’t have one). Otherwise, I’m not really in any school clubs. Most of my extracurriculars take place outside the classroom since I’ve moved around a lot throughout high school (will have transferred twice), and have had other personal circumstances to overcome.

Orchestra.
****.

I was only actively involved in chess club. Most of the other clubs were just pitiful excuses for kids to improve their resumes.

[ul]
[]Eh, a science/engineering club, w/ leadership position.
[]Literary magazine, w/ leadership position.
[]Newspaper, basically guaranteed leadership position by end of next year not due to my competence but to the fact that there’s going to be no other members after next year’s seniors graduate lol :o
[]All-state orchestra, I guess? Not a club, but a school-sponsored function, I guess…
[]Mu Alpha Theta for next year, hopefully, unless my founding efforts this year epically failed…oh well. But if so, founder—>any position you want? No?
[] And I was thinking of joining FBLA, which I also did not know existed until I read some posts here and looked up my school’s clubs lol. We’ll see though, since it’s apparently in the same state as newspaper is at my school.
[/ul]

Looking this over, I guess I’ll have enough ECs club-wise, but not spectacularly many either. And they’re in no way as outstanding as you guys’. Or DataBox’s. Crap.

You’re not missing much, it’s a pretty dull thing 90% of the time.
