hey guys im thinking about starting a club at my school and i wanted to know what kind of clubs would yall like to see at ur school...or are there any good organizations that yall kno of that i can start at my school

Hmmm...well...if you're starting a club...you should pick of your interests...or at least something you're good at.
But I mean, you could start an Octagon club, Model UN, JSA, Habitat for Humanity club, etc.

My school already has a ton of clubs... so here are some ideas...
Model UN, Interact, Amnesty Club, Volunteer Club, Junior Achievement (business-entrepreneur type), Dance Club, Christian Club, Pilates Club, Girls Culture Club, Math Club, Science Olympics, Art Club, Newspaper, Yearbook, Sports Teams (Football, Basketball, Volleyball, XCountry, Track, Swim, Badminton, Field Hockey, Rugby, Wrestling), Music (Band, Choir, Jazz Band, Jazz Choir), and Drama Productions.
Last year we had Social Justice instead of Amnesty, as well as a Gay-Straight Alliance. Some kids in my social class want to start an Anime Club.
Good luck ;)

Young Libertarians

Oh wait, that club doesn't exist. Anybody want to start it?

Pilates club?! Lucky duck you cowgirl. I wish we had that many clubs. Our school stinks.

Texas, starting a club or service organization at your hs and taking a leadership role will really look good on your college application...much more than just listing a whole bunch of ECs.

i would like to have some kind of firearms club (like guns) at our school
a JROTC would be cool too

High School Democrats =D

lol guns club! maybe in some parts of the country, but not in northeast bergen county NJ - lol

I would like a Future Doctors of America...like FBLA (Future business leaders)...ANY kind of medical club

I wish my school offered clubs for math & sci. It's pretty easy to start clubs at my school - it's just that nobody seems to join.

Crayon, it's all about advertising!

-Make people laugh: post humorous signs
-Puzzle people: post mysterious signs and make them join to find out what it means
-State the facts: post statistics (37.5% of the Handbell Choir gets into Ivy League schools...)
-Ask the administration for money (or have a fundraiser) so you can offer free food at meetings
-Announce it on the morning announcements
-Send mail to parents
-Get club t-shirts/sweatshirts/sweatpants... people LOVE that- it makes them feel like they belong

If nothing else, at least push it as much as you can just in everyday conversation- walk up to people and ask them if they're interested. At least you'll make new friends

I've gotta say, my school's two coolest clubs are pingpong club and hackysack club.

hey..thanks for the responses and advices guys..well we already have most of the clubs at our school that yall told me to start.. Whats JSA, octagon club(s)?

Thanks!

JSA is Junior Statesmen of America, and Octagon club is a community service club.

" a Future Doctors of America...like FBLA (Future business leaders)...ANY kind of medical club"

hey that sound interesting. do any of y'all know any medical based clubs. that would be soo awesome to start!!

My school has a Hippocratic Society. They bring in doctors to talk about different types of medical professions and show movies.

Does anyone here have an Xbox club or Halo2 Club? How do you think that would look on an application, hehehehe

My friends and I decided we wanted to start an anti-club club, for all people who dislike clubs. It's a bit (ok, really) ironic, but it's a place for people who not only dislike clubs, but don't really have a place (socially) anywhere else.

my senior year they had both a republican and democrat(young progressive) clubs, try going political

or go the whole animal rights/environment route.
HOwever, i WOULD LOVE, LOVE a pizza club at my high school. You just go around to local pizza joints and eat pizza then rate them in the school newspaper. It might be hard to do with high school but i do know they have one of these at Yale.
