what's a good law school for me if i have at least 700 on each section (so 2100 or more total) on the SAT? all honors/ap student, not the top student but in the top 3-5%. preferably a school in the east (in the usa)

i don't know if i want to major in pre-law per se, but i'm not a science/math person and i'm kind of interested in law, so i guess that's what i'm doing

“Pre-law” is an advisory program, not a major and most colleges have such programs. You major in something else of your choice and you have access to advisors who can recommend courses to take, advise on the law school choice and application process, etc. Law schools take applicants from virtually any major.

As to choice of college, you should look at it as any student applying to college, where you can possibly get in, what can you afford, desires. It can be an advantage to get into a high ranked law school to attend a high ranked college and get a high GPA but ultimately LSAT score will be critical.

please spend time reading other posts on this forum – especially the highlighted one about debt.

law school involves too much time, effort, and cost to decide to go into it with the the type of motivation you’ve expressed. please spend the time between now and when you’d apply to law school finding out as much as you can about what it REALLY means to be a lawyer before you kind of guess its what you want to do.

you can go to any college and major in anything that interests you. also see the pinned thread at the top of the forum about “undergrad law.”
