<p>As many of you know UCSC Housing is starting to send frosh students their college affiliation! What were your top 5 choices and what college were you assigned to? Are you satisfied with the result? Personally, my top 5 choices were 1) College 10 2) College 9 3) Crown 4) Merill 5) Oakes. I got my first choice and am really excited! Can't wait to go to Summer Orientation and eventually move in!</p>
<p>My top five were Cowell, Crown, College 10, College 9, and Porter.</p>
<p>I put Cowell as my number one choice because of the amazing view but I later decided that I’d be much better in Crown and I was hoping and praying that Cowell would fill up… and it did! </p>

<p>@sourgirl - you can contest the assignment to Merrill - there are instructions on how to do it in the email you received - maybe you can get your first choice, since others may be contesting as well and they might have more room - good luck : )</p>

<p>Appeal will be even more difficult since it’s Porter you want. They have to limit the number of affiliates because of the unnecessary Transfer Community.</p>

<p>Kresge. My first pick was Kresge… I think it was Crown, Oakes, Stevenson, Merrill as my other four.
Crown was originally my first pick but i changed to Kresge and applied for study intensive because I was only picking Crown because of my proposed major.</p>
