I really messed up freshman and sophomore year and have a cumulative weighted GPA of 3.6 (school does not report unweighted). However, there is an upward trend and I got a 4.0 Junior year. I took rigorous courses all throughout high school with many honors and APs.
However, I got a 35 on my ACT, which may somewhat redeem my low GPA.
If I wanted to major in Finance, what schools would I have a strong chance at? My top choice right now is University of Michigan, but I really don’t know if I can get admitted.
Yeah, but the scatter plots aren’t really helping me much, because everyone who applied to UMich with the same ACT as me had a much higher GPA(3.9 and above). The people who did have the same GPA as me had much lower test scores and many of them got deferred.
@nw2this Illinois, so University of Illinois is probably going to be my safety.
Also, does early action really help my chances whatsoever? I feel like it might be a better idea to apply regular decision because I’m almost 100% sure I can get above a 3.6 GPA Senior year and bring up my cumulative.
