What colleges can I transfer into with a 2.9 GPA?

I'm thinking Arizona State, U of Arizona, A couple of CUNY schools and American U so far.

I want schools with film programs.
I am a NY resident
I am 18
About to be a college sophmore
Applying for the Spring semester

So, help me out here and thank you.

Also, Do I just put in the number of credits I have as how many hours I have completed in my current college?

Apply for Junior standing. Your HS stats will matter less.

I have 29 credits, I dont think my HS grades matter at all now. I want to leave as soon as possible.

With 29 credits, your HS grades still matter a great deal, as well as your SAT scores. Once you earn 60 credits, you could then transfer without submitting your HS transcript and SAT scores.

I am not familiar with the Arizona schools, but my younger D is about to transfer OUT of a CUNY. I think you have a good shot at most of them.

I’m from AZ and I’m applying for CUNY schools.
I can tell you this:
-ASU is looked at as a joke/party school for everyone here, unless you’re one of those crazy sports people who have loved it since they were kids. However they have great Business/ Communications/Economics/ Psych programs
-UofA is the most prestigious school in the state and a public ivy. I believe you could get into either the UofA and ASU, besides, the NY school system is much more competitive than the AZ one.
CUNYs are your best bet considering you have the TAP along with the FAFSA. That being said, you have many more opportunities in NYC… but it all depends on what you’re looking for. If you want a change outside of the city, though, go to a SUNY–New Paltz and Stony Brook=match for you.

Try St. John’s University in Queens, New York. They accept year long. I got accepted and my gpa was a 3.0.

no way.i applied to stj. was going to attend, but they wanted me to take a 20k loan/yr

Thanks guys, really.

I will definitely look into the CUNY, and SUNY schools. I had no idea about ASU being known as a “party school”. The tuition for out of state students is unfair anyway, haha.

WOW. lol, ASU is THE party school
and look into the U of A! Tucson isn’t the best town in the world, but Arizona schools give tooonnss of aid.(also, check out Northern Arizona U)
CUNY doesn’t offer you aid until you said"yes"to the school so that might be a struggle.
and SUNYS give generous aid esp.Bing.
