I know all colleges look at all your grades, but which ones don’t take it into consideration when recaulating your HS GPA?
I believe the UC schools don’t use freshman year.
UC schools and Emory
I’ll throw in Emory. I don’t know for sure but I’ve read that on CC many times - it stuck with me.
I’m not sure it’s a good way to pick a college though. You should find the right school for you.
Most will include 9-11.
Edit - I see @Illinoisparent12 was writing as I did and beat me too it on Emory.
However, the course grades from 9th grade are visible to UC admission readers, even though the GPAs recalculated for UC do not include those from 9th grade.
CSUs recalculate GPA and just plug it into an admission formula (no subjective or holistic reading). Except for CPSLO, grades from 9th grade are not included in the CSU recalculation.
However, grades from 9th grade need to be C or higher for the courses to count toward subject requirements.
Stanford
I believe CMU as well.
