What colleges weigh test scores more than GPA

I have a 3.06 and know I won't be able to get into any good colleges with just that. What are some colleges that like higher test scores over gap, I have a 26 on the ACT

One that I know of is the U of Nebraska, but that may not be helpful to you. It may be unaffordable for you if you are out of state. What is your home state and what can your family afford? Start there and hone in on possible schools from there.

A 26 is not the sort of score that would cause selective colleges to consider you if your GPA is inadequate - you would need to score in the 30s for that, and such an increase is statistically unlikely. Saying that, a 26 and a GPA will get you into plenty of colleges (probably the majority of four-year colleges nationwide). Your financial situation will be a critical factor. If you give us a hint about your interests, your geographical preferences, and your family’s resources, we can begin to offer a few suggestions. I will not begin listing large western universities if you want a small college in the northeast. I will not suggest private colleges if you cannot afford them. I will not suggest reaches if you hope to obtain merit scholarships. There are thousands of colleges out there, and you will undoubtedly find at least one that suits you.
