When I took the PSAT junior year I got a 171 (61 reading, 56 math, 54 writing). First time I took my real SAT in April I score a 2000 (730 reading, 650 math, 620 writing).

I guess it's worth mentioning that the day I took the PSAT I came into class still half asleep and I had no prep what so ever for the test. For the SAT I came in well rested and I had taken like 3 free online practice tests, which isn't that much prep considering a lot of kids buy books and go to prep classes and that kind of stuff.

Post your scores so we can see how accurately PSAT scores reflect what a person will get on his real SAT.

I think if you search the archives, there's already a very long thread with this data.

Psat: 194
Sat: 2110 (m: 730, R: 680, W:700)

PSAT: 2040 (650 CR 680 M 710 W) (204, but you know)
SAT: 2200 (770 CR 720 M 710 W) (Complete reversal of strengths and weaknesses)

I did about 3 weeks worth of prep in between though--the PSAT I didn't even know was that important till test day:P.

Psat: 2130
Sat: 2350

PSAT: 240
SAT: 2310

Retaking it again in June. I wonder if I can do better this time. I actually took this reported SAT score in November, before I took the PSAT.

231 vs. 2270
(at least each section was in the range predicted by my PSAT section scores)

pfft some asian overachiever you are :D

PSAT: 216
SAT: 2330

wow, illumin4tus must be my long lost twin...

Nah, "azn" is short for "amazon".

Haven't you ever played D2?

Soph. PSAT: 200
Oct. SAT: 2200
Junior PSAT: 233
April SAT: 2220
(took both SATs as a junior)

Best composite SAT: 2260

If I cared, I'd probably retake, but... I don't, really. XD I'm not going Ivy or anything because of my grades and the cost.

jeez. 2310 + a re-take? good lord.

10th Grade PSAT - 196
10th grade SAT(May) - 2070
11th Grade PSAT - 210
11th Grade SAT(October) - 2140
best composite --> 2160 --> 800M, 670 CR (first test), 690 W

i'm not re-taking..... i wouldn't do much better. I'm very weak at critical reading and writing.

I need to stand out with the SAT. My GPA is only going to be 3.92-4.0 W!

Really. Nobody from my school got into Stanford in the past two years at least without a 4.04 or better. Most were 4.1.

My PSATs were 211, I think. And my SAT's were 2220. So, I stayed pretty much the same, a 100-point increase.

My Underdog Story

10th PSAT: 164
11th PSAT: 200
