So I got a 710 on USH SAT II. Which doesn't sound bad... but I looked it up and it says that's the 68th percentile. I'm trying to get into schools like UPenn or MIT... you know, with scores like my 800 on the Math SAT II. So I'm assuming I should just trash this? I know the next time SAT testing comes around, I'll know even less US history (I can already feel the knowledge slipping away), so if I don't use this score, I'm never going to use a USH SAT II score.

I plan on taking the Physics SAT II early next year. Is it okay for schools like UPenn and stuff if I just take a math and science? Or should I look for another humanities subject?

Thanks!

Im not sure what you mean by “trash this”. Penn requires all scores so you have to send it. I agree, retaking the SAT IIs isnt usually a good idea, and certianly not with a score like this.

Some schools require certian SAT II tests so check the CDS. Math and science are good to have but also play to your strengths if you have a choice. GL.

Except for less than a hand of schools that requires 3 subject tests, 2 is the minimal requirement. For science and engineering major, they usually require Math2 plus a science subject. Having an above average third subject test may be slightly better than not having a third subject at all.

Wait, I thought I was allowed to not send scores to schools. Is this not true?

You can send no score at all or do score choice.

It’s good that you have taken it. At least now you have a pretty decent score to send just in case your other SAT II’s do not work out as well. See how you do on the Physics SAT II and then decide which score to send.
