What do they do with SAT scores?

I got my Jan. SAT scores back today and theyre see-sawy compared to my Oct. scores.

Oct:
Math: 730
CR: 770
Writing: 690

Jan:
Math: 720
CR: 690 (!!!)
Writing: 790

So i heard how some school averaged ur scores and others take your best score from each section. So anyone know which schools (Ivy League?) take your best score from each section?? bc otherwise I'm screwed lol. thnx

yea ur in some deep $hit. a 2190 would definitley be an auto reject.

Most Ivys take the highest score from each section. That would put your combined score at 2290. I'm quite sure that Penn and Cornell at least do this.

2190... auto reject? I know the future will not appear bright... but you can't exactly say that... I know a person that got lower than that and got in.

jillpod,
I'm sure that bananaphone was being sarcastic.

And yes, many colleges take the highest sub-SAT score (they call it Super-scoring)
