Hello everyone! I'm new to College Confidential, so I'd just like to introduce myself. I live in California and I'm currently a junior in one of the top private schools in the nation. Here are my stats.

SAT I: 1580
SAT II: 780(writing)/800(IIC)/770(physics)
GPA: 4.67/4.00uw
Rank: 1/432

ECs: Concertmistress of two youth symphonies, Varsity cheer (captain), Varsity basketball (captain), Varsity softball (co-captain), featured in the prestigious "Who's Who in American High School Students," recipient of Principal's Award for Best Math Student, Best Science Student and Best English Student, recipient of school's AllStar Athlete award, AIME qualifier, editor of my school newspaper, editor of my school yearbook, ASB Class President (3 years), tutor (voted "top tutor" by peers).

I am also president of the following clubs at my school: Amnesty International, Speech and Debate (Recipient of the prestigious Lincoln Award), Young Republicans and Helping Hands. I also volunteer at the soup kitchen, library and hospital.

I was wondering what my chances were at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Dartmouth, Brown, Penn, and my safety, Cornell. Thanks in advance!!!

You definitely have a chance at the top ones...as do the other thousands of overqualified applicants applying to these schools- Do you have one hook in particular that you are emphasizing? You have good test scores and gpa and lots of interesting-looking ECs. But which (or what one) are most important to you?

You have a better chance at Cornell Dartmouth Penn and Columbia, although Brown can be very quirky in its admissions. Good luck wherever you end up.

"featured in the prestigious 'Who's Who in American High School Students,'"

lmao... DO not list this on any app.

You didnt list a passion or anything that is your main focus. Your good but your all over the place. It time to buckle up and find out what you want to do.

You look good for the schools but you need something to emphasize.

For back ups and just since you never know if you might change you mind you should consider applying for UC D, SD, LA, and B.

airforce1, I am curious, why would I not want to list Who's Who in my applications?

I am NOT "all over the place." I am very focused in all my activities and just because I excel in more than one activity does not mean I am unfocused.

As for backups, I am applying to Cornell. The UC schools, which are admittedly good for being public, simply cannot compare to the quality of education one recieves at an Ivy League institution.

So your just joking around, your stats are fake, your money is fake, your school is fake, your fake. Correct

If your not joshing around then I feel most will agree with me that you are a crazy bi+ch. Oh and i read another post of yours where you basically said a person is a nobody if he or she doesnt attend an IVY. Are you serious?

Airforce1, what is your problem bashing me like that? I did NOT come here looking for a fight. If that's what you want, then you can kiss my a$$.

"then you can kiss my a$$"
You say your hot, can you provide a link to a pic of yourself.. pm me if you want ... once you send me pic then ill get back to you. Thanks

hOtIvYlEaGuEwAnNaBecHiCk ur in fsho...airforce 1 is obviously jealous..
also...u should be proud on ur accomplishments and not care what others think.

You'll get into an Ivy League school, but that doesn't mean you'll fit in, especially among motivated girls don't waste time trying to be >~cute~<.

Hey hOtIvYlEaGuEwAnNaBecHiCk I just hope you understand this:
You are what most people would call a pretentious stuck-up snob. You may feel a little nice because of how you compare to your peers, but you are what people call a big fish in a small pond. 94 kids in my class of 500 got "Who's Who" this year (including me). Its worthless. Anyways, your GPA and tests scores are solid for the institutions that you are applying for but the titles: best tutor, best math student, best anything in school means nothing. You cannot be going to a "prep" school because no school would allow one student to occupy all such positions. Yeah. Your EC's suck too, because there seems to be no outstanding passion, nor a connection between anything. I'm sure you're going to get your undies in knot, so let me save you some typing and give you this without being asked:
GPA: 4.68
Class Rank: 12/468
Full load of 6 IB (harder than AP) courses
SAT: not taken
SATII: 780 USH

County Youth Commission proposer and chair

I'm a junior.
So sit there and squirm, and look for errors in what I posted.

And I'm sorry for normal people, this looks mighty pretentious at the end, but I hate her so much.

You: "I got the prestigious Who's Who recognition!"

Adcom: "And, You're rejected!"

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

at first glance you actually looked pretty good and i thought wow shes almost as good as me
but then i looked again... and theres nothing there, what have you done? id be interested to know how many hours youve "volunteered" haha and whether you are actually 1/w/e and someone correct me if im wrong cause i have no clue how the 4.0 system works but ***? 4.63/4.0 how can you have more than the allotted amount of point? is it just me or is that impossible

(wow i really like making fun of people, especially when they deserve it, makes it much easier)
