What do ya'll wear to college lectures?

Lol. They dont all dress up. I wish the nerds you've seen can give my friends some fashion tips, then. =)

Um, it's okay. I get what you guys are saying. I guess I just don't like how you are judging people by how they dress. Some people can't afford to go to abercrombie to get some snappy polo shirt.

I sit next to people who don't judge others by what they wear...

it worked out for me.

i sit next to the first cute earthy boy i see..so no polos.

it worked out on the first day of french class with my current boyfriend :)

also, to the OP, it's totally fine to wear sweatpants to class. people seriously will go running and come to class before showering haha..you'll be fine if you dress casually.

I always wear T's. Shirts with buttons or collars on them gross me out and sort of make me want to puke for some reason.

Wow, that's strange. =(

Wearing polos involves wearing an undershirt, and I can't be bothered with putting on an unnecessary layer.

I just wear my normal, everyday 'street clothes' (as they tell you to wear for passport pictures). It's whatever I'd be wearing anyways if I were going shopping, hanging out, or traveling somewhere. No need to dress fancy or especially in anything uncomfortable for a class. Ditch the tight jeans, though you don't have to downgrade all the way to sweats, just wear jeans that fit right (the right pair should look great on, while fitting like an old, comfortable glove. Oh, how I love jeans!)

What I don't get is the people that change into PJs for class. That's just odd. It maybe only takes 2 seconds more to put on something better. But I have to admit that I have never worn PJs or sweats to class......

More important than what you wear is how you SMELL. Please shower.

That sounds fine. I usually do jeans and t-shirt or another easy, comfy outfit.

I haven't started college yet (still two weeks before I leave. :(), but I've already decided I'm going to stop wearing clothes and just wear a robe to class... that might get kind of awkward on my bike, though...

i usually just wear a shirt and jeans
i dont really pay attention to what people wear. im not that obsessed over people's fashion in class

a mix of hippy/preppy clothes with jeans. Basically, I look smart enough for people to take me seriously. But, chill enough to talk to anyone and have random upperclassman take me for one of them (and smile in my direction). :)

Usually, business casual.

^ ah. Want to be an I-banker I see.

^No, actually management consultant. If I wanted to be an ibanker I'd show up in a full on coat and tie.

You are in college! (Unless like a religious or whatever school) Be comfortable wearing whatever you want! Take advantage of the freedom

I wear the same thing everyday, jeans and a miami dolphins t-shirt, so everyone knows i mean business

no... i completely agree with chuy. even if teh guy didnt' mean to "dress up" just the polo shirt itself makes him LOOK dressed up. i'd rather sit next to a guy like that than a guy with a t-shirt on

go figure

Hahaha, I usually wear jeans and a tanktop/tshirt and depending on how cold it is a sweatshirt too. Usually try to get a nicer brand of jeans and tank top, but for the tshirts i usually don't care.

P.S-Hate to bring up the Chuy thing, but I agree. Boys in polos (especially Hollister, A&F, AE) are usually cute, which makes me want to sit by them ;-)
