What do you do at the Academic planning day?

Are you supposed to go in prepared? I missed the regular deadline so I'm going to an alternate day. Can someone tell me?

You are greeted by the deans. Later, you attend a session where they explain to you about the liberal arts degree requirement for the School of Arts and Sciences and about academic integrity and the consequences you can face if you violate it (i.e. cheating, plagiarism, etc.)

You then meet with some student orientation leaders and ask them questions relating to Rutgers (social life, academic life, etc.). You eat lunch and get your picture taken for your ID if you haven’t so already. Later, you attend a meeting pertaining to a certain area of study that interest you, whether it be business, liberal arts – whatever. Then, further split into a certain subject you plan on studying, like English, Biology, Psychology, Political Science . . .

At the end of the day, you choose your classes.

You don’t need to prepare for anything specific. I will, however, advise that you come in with a list of 5-6 classes that you plan on registering for just so you don’t sit there at the end of the day hurrying to sign up for classes that you don’t care for. Of course, you have the beginning of the Fall semester to change up your schedule, but usually students only change 1 or 2 classes – not EVERYTHING.
