Californians= master race

Keep in mind, there is a HUGE difference between northern and southern California.

Please inform me of this etiquette. I am actually quite curious.

Californians are amazing. LBC represent :)

not saying that californians are rude. What I meant by that is describing my experience in Arizona and California. In Arizona, people I’ve met are polite and “pretend” to be nice, and they look kind of fake. (how would you feel if your teacher smile, laugh, and hug you in necessary encounters and then when she sees you in other occasions, she tries to end the conversation abruptly and runs away when she sees you coming from the other end of the hallway).
In California, people, at least the people I’ve met, they don’t try to fake nice. They are more straight-forward, which can be rude sometimes. I suppose that pretending to be nice is an etiquette. And yeah, Californians seem to dress more casually. I prefer people who are straight forward.
Please, I can see from your eyes that you yearn to get away and that you dread to end the conversation, I know that we’ve been taught to be nice and etc, but don’t over do it.
This is very biased, and I am merely expressing my opinion from my personal experience.

Here’s an awesome song that concerns you guys.

I’ve seen some pretty hot California guys.

I suppose I don’t consider any of this rude. As long as someone politely excuses him/herself from the conversation, surely it’s preferable to end it than to continue. I could see how this could be misconstrued as rude in other cultures.

That we do. But adhering to a social norm is in no way rude.

From others perspective, we may seem casual (this might not be polite to them). To me, californians are not rude. But they may seem too blunt from others’ perspective, especially if those people expect everyone to fake to be nice and polite.

Honestly where I live near Sacramento, everyone is super nice.

I have never been to California, but I immediately assume people there are healthy and fit, liberal, and know how to surf.

Nice but not faking it.

No opinion really haha, but then again I lived here for my entire life (Gonna change next year with Boston)
