Is this schedule doable:

I tried all the Final Distance combinations and I can't get out of 6 hours of class in a row on Wednesdays.

Are you a freshmen? What major are you aiming for? For a first year student at CAL, it might be overwhelming, unless you have had a rigorous schedule in high school, but seriously, thats a pretty tough schedule in my opinion. Having classes back to back to back takes a toll on you seriously, trust me, I did it last semester 6 classes in one day with only 2 breaks in between.

Blah, since I made that post they cancelled the CS 3 class I was going to take and replaced it with CS 3L. Now my schedule will look like one of the following:

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/djAZUL/newUCBplannedschedule1.jpg
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/djAZUL/newUCBplannedschedule2.jpg

I'm pretty much stuck with these classes because all of the other Math 1B Discussion sections are currently full, and it'd suck to be placed on the wait list for the course and not get into the course because the section didn't open up.

This will be my first semester. I am an Electrical Engineering and Computer Science major.

I guess you should be fine then.

I'm a to-be senior at high school, so I'm not aware of all the details, but why do you have to take German as an EECS major? Did you fulfill all your language requirement in high school? If not, how do you fulfill foreign lang. requirements?

I did not fulfill the first part of the Reading & Comprehension requirement, so I am taking German R5A to fulfill it (there are a host of classes that can be taken to fulfill the R&C requirement). German R5A is not a foreign language course.

compSciBeast--there are no foreign language requirements for the college of engineering. there is a reading & comprehension requirement and an american cultures requirement and there are A LOT of classes you can choose from for both
