What do you guys think?

i was deferred from brown, but it’s still my number one choice.

when i wrote my common application essay in october, i realized later on, after brown’s early deadline that there were changes i wanted to make.

would it be weird to send brown a copy of my revised essay? it’s the same essay, but i’ve been able to spend more time on it, as i was preparing it for other schools also.

bumpppppp, please.

Most schools say they don't want deferred applicants to send extra essays, even if they're completely new. I don't know about Brown specifically, but my guess is that it would just annoy them and wouldn't help you much. Talk to someone there before sending it, at the very least.

If it's a revised version of the same essay, don't bother. They'd probably think "why is this person sending in the same essay. If they're making changes to make it better, why didn't they spend the extra time on it in the first place." If anything, it would just reflect negatively. If you're going to send in more information, make sure it is something new. And it better be good and something that will really catch their attention if you're sending in something extra.

^agreed. Don't send in a revised essay.
