What do you like most about Northwestern?

Hello!
If there are any current Northwestern students (or alumni!) out there who wouldn’t mind sharing what they love the most about their school, please share here!
(Some background: I’m from out-of-state and applied to Medill. I didn’t really think I would get in, and I never had the chance to visit–today’s decision was a pleasant surprise. I’m not sure I’ll be able to find the money to fly out to visit within the next few weeks, so any insight would be appreciated!)

HELLO! I’m super enthusiastic since we’re on spring break so I’m here!!! to answer your questions ahhh I love prospies
My favorite thing about Northwestern is how easy it is to get involved in really high-level extracurriculars. What most excites me here that non-students really don’t get to see is really the caliber of work that goes into each and every “club” here, and how open clubs are to students of all majors. Like, of course you’re in Medill, so you probably know of the fantastic quality of our publications…but, staffers aren’t just all from Medill! our new EIC for Daily is in Weinberg, for instance…there really are no barriers to involvement for the most part and I love that so much. And, clubs here are honestly so amazing: it’s crazy how good people are at what they do. We have Northwestern Student Holdings, basically a student-run startup accelerator; AMPED, a program where music students travel to juvenile detention centers and teach music; Mayfest, a committee that runs our student-produced music festival, Dillo Day…the list goes on. If you come to Northwestern, you for sure will never run out of things to do. That’s such a blessing for people who love to keep themselves busy and engaged. There isn’t just one Northwestern experience…no matter what path you take, you’ll probably be taking advantage of Northwestern’s many, many offerings!
That’s really all I can give you without leaking my personal information…please LMK privately if you have any other questions

Thank you!!!
