I applied to OSU around late October for early action.
Graduating from High School a year early
32 ACT (But my English was only a 24)
3.55 Unweighted
Currently in 4 AP Classes and took 2 last year (AP US- 5, AP Bio- 5)
500+ volunteer hours
Biology major
I know of people with better stats that got waitlisted so I’m a little on edge.
In-state? Does your school have Naviance? A lot of Ohio kids from every HS apply to OSU, so you should have good data.
Weighted GPA? OSU is pretty predictable given the numbers. If your W GPA is 3.7+, you are in range. At our HS, no one with a 3.9 w GPA got rejected. Below that, mixed bag. Below 3.7, mostly rejections. Depends a bunch on your HS, though.
OSU is on track, so far, for an increased number of apps this year. So…fingers crossed for you!
What is Plan B of OSU Columbus doesn’t work out?
I’m in state, my school does use naviance and my weighted is 3.75 (although my school dosen’t weight for honors classes like some other ones do).
I’ve already gotten accepted to Arizona State with a scholarship and they are my second choice so I’ll be going there if I’m not accepted.
I think you are in good shape, then. Does your Naviance have you sitting in range?
