Due to fear of plagiarism im just worrying about the topic. Basically I wrote about in the the first half how the magic school bus changed my life (life of science began they’re I realized) and some personal stuff. Finished off with my love of learning. Was it too weird? Thoughts?
I don’t think it’s that weird. when you say plagiarism do you mean you referenced the show a lot?
I like it. I assumed you were talking about the children’s book series but the previous poster mentioned the movie. I didn’t know there was a movie version. If I were reading your essay, I might be more impressed and interested if the books influenced you (often used by teachers) than the movie.
Here’s my concern: Magic Schoolbus is aimed at kids in elementary school-- and I think the primary grades at that.
So I think you’re saying that this life changing realization happened, say, 10 years ago.
I think you would do better with something that was a bit more recent… kind of a “What have you done for me lately?” type of feeling.
No i meant I didn’t want to post directly on college confidential since someone might copy it. And I don’t have pm’s yet
Agree that the risk is that colleges want to learn more about you as a young adult, not childhood. Now one of my kids wrote about something she discovered in middle school, and how it secretly influenced her behavior from then until today. But she was able to describe specific decisions or actions that were a result of that secret influence throughout HS.
more about beautiful writing than topic
Absolutely don’t post the essay to CC. The topic could be very good if done well.
