I found this article.. anyone have opinions? Looks like UCLA football will have to suffer another year LoL!

dam... I was hoping UCLA wouldnt suck anymore

USC is the best team in College Football right now. As much as I'd like to pretend that this is the year UCLA is going to beat up on USC, it's just not going to happen...

However next year is a different story. The great thing about college footbn is that teams are only good for so long before all their players move on. This year USC still has everybody that has made them as good as they are, but next year I'd be pretty shocked to see them doing as well.

Allena, I don't think your taking into account the fact that the past four recuiting classes by USC were ranked #4, #1, #1, and #3 respectively. People said the same thing three years ago after Heisman QB Carson Palmer left. People said the same thing two years ago when All-America receiver (whom everyone credited with Leinart's success as a QB) Mike Williams left. People are saying that this year as Norm Chow left. But as long as USC has Pete Carroll and his tireless recruiting, USC will be a dynasty. It's simply not something that's limited to a couple of years though it is certainly finite. Look how the Miami and Florida ruled the 80s and early 90's only to cede the D word to Nebraska for several years.

Consider this: USC's backup quarterback, John David Booty, whose recruiting class was two years ago, was the #1 high school quarterback in America. Last year, USC landed the #1 and #2 best quarterbacks in America, Mark Sanchez and Rocky Hinds. Hinds, knowing full well that despite how good he was would likely not ever start at QB, transferred to UNLV. And this is just in the quarterback position! USC starts a freshamn receiver this year, Patrick Turner, whom people are calling the next Mike Williams.

Here's an even more critical article for you Westow, from the LA Times complete with Maurice Drew's moronic comments (by anyone's measure): http://www.latimes.com/sports/columnists/la-sp-simers3aug03,1,2198661.column?coll=la-headlines-sports-columnists

It's okay though... Troy tends to quiet down around basketball season. I'm excited to see what your now sophomore trio can do.

haha that article that themegastud posted is obviously critical, as anyone who reads the LA Times sports section regularly knows that

TJ Simers' job is to make fun of people and

TJ Simers is a USC alum

anyway, trust me kids, it's not always like this. when i was growing up, UCLA football was actually pretty good and USC was in the "dark ages" before carroll came on board.

maybe he'll be injured? not that I'm wishing it, or anything...

...

TJ Simers is not a USC alum; read his bio. Though yes, his job is to make fun of people.

okay i'm wrong

i wouldnt even consider that to be an article. its so one-sided that it offers nothing critical. sure its a good laugh for any USC fan but nothing more than that.

there is a striking similarity between the Angels and USC... perhaps it has to do something with the color Red?

Like I said, just hold out until baskebtall season. The articles will be one sided then too - and by that, I mean very Westwood friendly.
