I want to be a physicist. Or maybe a psychologist.

Pharmacist, biochemist, or teacher

Pharmacist-I love chemistry and helping people. Plus, it’s a hot job in NC that’s really needed.

Biochemist-Love biology and chemistry. Why not combine the two? (I know what it deals with though)

Teacher-Every teacher that I’ve ever had always said that I have a natural gift for teaching things, especially to kids who are struggling. I made one girl’s Algebra 2 average go from a 35 to a 82 in just three weeks.

*I want to be a screenwriter for animated movies. I want people to be a little happier when they leave the theatre then when they entered. There’s so much that still hasn’t been done, worlds that haven’t been explored.

Wow you guys are really creative. High school band director is not crazy if it’s your passion. You could always dream bigger though like a real orchestra director.

@avatarmage- To the contrary, that isn’t “dreaming bigger” from high school band director. Very rarely does someone go from a band director to a “real” orchestra director. They require two different skill sets. A band director must teach in addition to a little bit of conducting, but the majority of it is making sure that the students are both learning and having fun. Symphonic orchestra directors must put together pieces in a much different way because they’re already working with the some of the best players in the world.

I’d like to either become a trauma surgeon in a small town or start my own pharmaceutical/biotech company. I’m especially interested in epigenetics and stem cell research.

I’ve been kicking around this idea of buying a ranch and breeding ponies or race horses (or [Woolly Mammoths](http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/science-news/8257223/Mammoth-could-be-reborn-in-four-years.html) ;)) after I retire.

I like genetics, so all of them sound interesting to me.

Since I’ve actually started seriously thinking about my future, it went like this:

Journalist, then I realized I’d be in debt for life.

Currently, some kind of intelligence person in Washington D.C. who speaks Japanese :P

Chemical Engineer

Hello there ^^ Anyways, I’d like to be a tech writer with a BA and MA in something English related. The starting pay rate isn’t breadcrumbs and I won’t mind analyzing stuff for 40+ years. (:

Pokemon Trainer.

I could be anything. I’m interested in a lot of things, and I’m remarkably good at most of them (namely performing arts, math and science, and philosophy). So wherever the wind takes me, I suppose. I’ll probably end up slumming it in a one-room apartment with my best friend, pondering string theory as he attempts to make it on Broadway.

But I do know that I don’t want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don’t want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed.

I want to eventually own my own real estate firm that deals with buying/selling, leasing commercial/residential properties, and developing buildings/residential properties. I plan to first go for an undergraduate degree in business then hopefully move myself somewhere that deals with real estate on a corporate level (development firm, intern at office). Then eventually through saving and buying lease-able properties and renovating (flipping) for resell to finance a startup.

Its kind of a weird trade to go in because if I tell someone I want to go into real estate, most people around here picture someone playing solitaire in a Prudential/Remax office. That’s not what I want to do. For years I’ve always taken an interest into property listings around America and even in other countries. I know types of architecture, real estate trends, and the general gist of what I want to do through shows on TLC/Bravo/HGTV. I definitely want to be something bigger than a typical “agent”.

US Attorney/District Attorney, Governor, President, Chief Supreme Court Justice.

People rag on me for not being ambitious enough. ;).

All I know is that I want to go into medicine. I can open my own practice (don’t know what I want to specialize in yet) for business and I can still pursue my philanthropic efforts. It really bugs me when people assume that the only reason I’ll go into med is because I’m Indian or because it’s what my parents want. No, I just want to have an impact. I know what my passion is and I know what I want. Is that so bad?

I really don’t know. I’ve kind of been lost these last several months. I really love writing, but apart from journalism (which I’ve never been too interested in) pursuing a career in writing usually isn’t very sustainable ( in other words, most get very little $ if you want to be an author IMO).

I like kids and people, so I’ve thought about doing psychiatry, especially for more difficult children. Also dogs. I love dogs and have thought about veterinary. Plus virology has always intrigued me. So that’s my sciences. But science has never really been my cup of tea.

But I really don’t know. Most of my interests have very low success rates in terms of money. I don’t care about getting rich (would be nice but not a priority); I just worry about not being able to get off to a good start.

Good god, I’m complaining.

I really don’t know for sure about my interests and their respective careers, though, just my impressions.
What do y’all think?

^all those fields are good as long as you have the passion for them. In terms of money psychiatry, pediatrics (since u like kids), or veterinary may be better. But journalism might give you that free feeling although I don’t know in today’s environment what you could achieve. Can’t exactly write another Common Sense can you…

I want to work for the UN and eventually attain all millennium development goals and end poverty. I first wanted to be a doctor, then an architect, a shrink, and a doctor again. Once you find something you love doing, you’ll just know

^ending poverty? :o now that is dreaming big!

Pediatrician

Pedriatician…must love kids huh?
