I'd major in either anatomy, biology, chemistry
Minor in Spanish or history

Just major in what you like!!!!! That's the main point. Just get your pre-reqs. If you don't like what you're doing you'll grow bored. Med schools don't care what you major in. In fact they promote diversity. why not accounting? I have two friends who are med students; they majored in accounting.

probably biochem and english minor

I plan to major in Philosophy.

Interesting to see the science majors.

art major ( idk concentration, want to take some digital imaging class, print media, sculpture.)
i want to go to plastics, radiology or anesthesiology, or gastro. but hey, that's a long time from now and i am in high school, what do i know? That is all subject to change.
i just want to be a doctor.

I have so many plans...

Options are: Nutrition (is soo much fun, I really like it), molecular, development and cell biology, gender and women or psycology. Perhaps philosophy as well, or something like global health, or health policy. Or just work out a major involving all of these areas! Nothing to mathematical, it is just not me.

Perhaps I would like to minor in french, or philosophy or the arts (I love to draw!)

I'm majoring in Biology with a concentration in biomedical engineering, and pre-med requirements added to that curiculum. I love the whole engineering aspect of medicine, so who know's I definetly do want to go to med school, possibly get an MD/PHD in Molecular Biology so I could be practicing and researching at the same time. Would be cool to do that but that would be another 8 yrs after my b.s. in Science..We'll see!

I want to major in Microbiology and Molecular Biology. My pre-med requirements are included and it is something that I am interested in. The only thing that I am not looking forward to in this major is the Calc and the Physics, everything is else seems exciting. =]

Major: Neuroscience/Behavior/Psychobiology (depending on where I go)

Possible minors include philosophy, ethics/bioethics (is that even a minor?), and general psychology.

Notice the theme? =P

Probably major in Biology and minor in either English lit of philosophy or some kind of Humanities.

Chemical Engineering, but I don't even know if I want to do pre-med

Major: Engineering or Business Management/Administration
Minor: Neuroscience or Spanish(doubtful) or (Insert something totally random here)*

I dunno if I even want to go to med school yet, but I'm going to wait to get into college and talk to an adviser first.

I wanted to major in biology but i've been considering English lately. Whichever I enjoy more freshman year I suppose.

If I can manage it a music theory minor would be cool.

I want to major in Microbiology or Chemistry and minor in Math.

History.

primarily because my father told me not to

engineering, biology, or mathematics?
which one will help me the most in getting into a good med school? a lot of people do biology, and graduate with superb gpa. coming out of engineering school with a good/decent gpa will likely prepare me best for the MCAT’s once im done with school. math will be an easy road for me, but not that much science involved for prereqs. what do you think should I take the tough engineering road, or should i graduate with a high gpa in math or biology?

I’m doing a major in microbiology/Immunology(one degree) with a minor in biochem.

Post #56:

1.) Majors do not help you get into medical school. All categories of majors have very similar admissions percentages.
2.) Engineering has nothing to do with the MCAT.
3.) You have to take the prerequisites anyway, so not sure what you’re going for here.

math specialist+theoretical physics/chem oooo yaaa :)

Major-NeuroScience or Biochemistry and Cell biology
