Just recently the admissions office requested to see my seventh semester grades. Is this a positive sign? I received a 3.56 for that semester. Is there anything I could do to increase my chances?

It means that they won’t make a decision until they see your 7th semester grades. It’s not really a good sign or a bad. You’re likely a borderline candidate and they want to make sure that you’re keeping your grades up. Yes, a 3.56 is a good GPA. Do you have an upward trend to your grades?

The only thing I can think of to help is to submit a supplemental letter of rec if it’s allowed (it’s been a few years since I applied so I can’t remember). If you have a teacher that’s close to you or something, that would be a good place to ask.

Best of luck :)

That wheather your accepted or denied depends on these grades.
