This is just idle curiosity, but what do you think it takes for Rice to rescind your admission? I was wondering because the acceptance email had that little rider that specified that a drop in academic performance could be grounds to rescind the candidate's admission.

If you drop from A’s and a few B’s to straight C’s, you may get your admission revoked.

One C or a few B’s will be fine. Rice wants to know that you are not blowing your semester off.

I think you have to screw the pooch pretty badly to get your admission revoked, but I think you can be admitted on automatic academic probation.

wow.

Academic probation is below a 1.75. So if you show up to some classes and do some of the work, you will be able to easily avoid that.
