I would appreciate anyones help with this...I am helping my sister in her college search just trying to figure out what it takes to get into Trinity...

She attends a great public school, is super involved, etc etc but I was just wondering what you would say the profile of a Trin student is [number wise and personally]. Thanks!

well, the acceptance rate was 43%
with 54% in the top 10% of their class, and 98% in the top half.

the mid range of SAT scores is 600-690 for reading, 610-700 for math, and 600-700 for writing.

since the school is a liberal arts college, they will heavily consider personality and ec's

I think the acceptance rate this year was around 31.7% since like 1900 were accepted of about 6000 applicants!

yeah aaron is right, the acceptance rate this year was only 31 percent. the drop in acceptance rate occured both b/c trinity over-admitted students last year, and because they recieved a record amount of apps (as did many top schools). the numbers above with sat's are right though...is trinity your sisters top choice?

If it is 31%, why does it say 43% on collegeboard? Did they just not change it or something?

Actually I think it said 39% like a few months ago, and then they changed it to 43%? It doesn't make sense.

yeah metsfan is right--collegboard chnages it a year late, so 43 percent was last yr, when trinity way overaccepted people. they overestimated their percent yield and had a class of 600+. i would say average for trinity is mid 30's.

i would say a 1300+ sat and pretty good grades (~3.5) will give u a good shot at getting in...trinity is a great school with one of the nicest campuses ive ever seen...its seen mainly as a safety for really top-notch schools such as williams, bowdoin and amherst, and is usually a good fit for anyone with a work hard/play hard type attitude...
